The Sketchbook Project
In 2021 registered to take part in the The Sketchbook Project hosted by Brooklyn Art Library; as part of the project I decided to capture High Littleton in sketches. During the year I sketched all sorts of things around High Littleton: interesting signs, quirky details on buildings, and views out to the countryside beyond as well as of course village landmarks. The slideshow below shows the finished book starting with the front and back cover.
Brooklyn Art Library holds the worlds largest collection of artist sketchbooks and each year they invite artists to add to the collection as part of The Sketchbook Project. Every participant is sent the same 5x7’’ blank custom sketchbook which they can fill however they like either following a theme or with something that interests them. The completed sketchbook is returned to the library where it is photographed and then made available to see online later in the year. Registration for the project is open until June and anyone can take part. For more information see https://brooklynartlibrary.org/
