I am an artist based in High Littleton, near Bath, in the UK. I paint semi abstract, contemporary landscapes in acrylic and mixed media. As well as painting I run workshops and co-host the Artchatter podcast.

NEW WORK
I'm pleased to add 3 new mixed media pieces of art to the website; it's a trio of small framed artwork celebrating the coast called 'Coastal Song', Tide Ebbs' and 'Tidal Flow'. For these pieces I have explored the use of incorporating visual texture by collaging 'print' upon wet strength tissue paper to add to mark making in paint.

'Building the layers: exploring acrylic and mixed media landscapes
Join me for a 1 or 2 day workshop exploring your creativity with paint and ink. A fun filled supportive session introducing you to the joys of using acrylic to capture a landscape in a loose and expressive way. Let me guide you how to use different techniques, introduce you to a variety of tools (some might surprise you!) and help you build confidence using acrylic. You'll go home with 2 paintings to be proud of plus memories of a wonderful day out learning something new. Suitable for all abilities - yes even beginners! |
The natural environment is a huge inspiration for me; it's that ever changing light that dances, the movement of clouds and that feeling of being such a small part of the landscape that speaks to me.
