2 Day acrylic & mixed media workshop
This is a NEW 2 day workshop where you get the chance to completely immerse yourself in a fun filled, supportive workshop learning how to create wonderfully loose and expressive landscapes and get familiar with what works for you.
Workshop details:
- Each day the workshop will run from 10am - 4pm with a break for lunch. Your work from Day 1 will be left in the hall overnight ready to use the following day.
- Attendees should aim to arrive from 9.45am - time to meet up and grab a coffee before cracking on with the workshop.
- The workshop will be in Stratton-on-the-Fosse village hall - a bright airy space.
- Refreshments (i.e. tea, coffee & cake) are included both days.
- Remember to bring your own packed lunch for both days.
- Materials are included but you are of course welcome to bring your own art materials if you prefer.
- There is parking next to the hall.

What will you learn?
- I will help you to develop your sketches (or photos) before you paint - looking at composition, colour, tone and texture.
- Together we will explore the versatility of acrylic paint and ink, techniques you can use and the huge variety of tools that can be used.
- I will guide you through your exploration and support you as you experiment with this versatile medium.
- As a bonus we'll create visually textured collage papers using a gel plate - which we'll combine as mixed media in your work.
- You'll go home with 2 paintings to be proud of, a new found confidence using acrylics and of course wonderful memories of a weekend learning something new for yourself.
- Suitable for all abilities - yes even beginners!
